Betsy's Fibers
Betsy's Fibers was created out of two passions:
- Excitement of seeing the colors around us and capturing their beauty on custom dyed yarn
- Gratitude and honor of working with horses and people in a therapeutic riding center
The sales of Betsy's Fibers custom made yarns are used to purchase items
to support the horses and riders of a therapeutic riding center, Equestrian Connection in Illinois.
Steps to order yarns from betsy's fibers
1. You pick the colorway
Each colorway can be seen here or by clicking the Multi Colored Yarns tab or Tonal Solid Yarns tab at the top or bottom of the home page.
Each colorway is named after a therapy horse. For example, this one is named after a sweet therapy horse, Dory.
2. You pick the yarn base
All yarn bases are listed when viewing each colorway. They can be seen here or by clicking the Yarn Base tab at the top or bottom of home page.
This base is the bulky 2 ply.
3. Complete the order with payment and shipping information
Your custom dyed yarn will be shipped to you in 3-4 weeks.
You will receive an email when your order has been shipped out by Betsy's Fibers.
4. Receive your order
Make something beautiful out of your new custom dyed yarn from Betsy's Fibers.

Yarn sales help others
This is Coal. He is a therapy horse and he helps so many. He is my favorite horse at Equestrian Connection, but don't tell the other 27 horses. Items are purchased to help and support both the riders and horses at Equestrian Connection.
In 2020, buckets of treats for the horses were bought. The riders loved to drop the treats into the horses feed buckets and listen for the loud crunch of the treats, while at the same time they are learning how to take care of the horses that take care of them.
So far in 2021, frisbees were purchased as a way to safely and directly give horses treats. The riders love feeding the horses. They feel proud being able to be close to the horses.
